Recruiting Quality = Hiring Quality

“If you are looking for a Nanny, the safety and security of your household and loved ones is at stake, and it can be emotional and time-consuming to select a qualified, trustworthy nanny on your own.

Are you searching for a Nanny that you can Trust?

Let me share some tips.

n     Know what you think an ideal candidate looks like.

What behavior is most important to you?

o        Adaptable

o        Collaborative

o        Can Handle Stress & Ambiguity

o        Dependable

o        Trustworthy

o        Job Skills

o        Motivated to Work with Children

We can help you determine what the ideal candidate looks like.

n     Know what to look for on the applicants resume.

o        The resume is a ticket to an interview where the applicant can sell themselves!

o        If parents have 100 resumes to screen for 1 nanny job, how do they sort them into one of 3 boxes A – B – C?

A

Meets all criteria

B

Meets some

C

Meets none

We can help sort the resumes into the right boxes, so you can focus on the Quality Category “A” Resumes.

n     Know what interview questions need to be asked.

o        Most parents will do some form of interview. Therefore, it becomes extremely important that you know what kinds of interview questions that need to be asked.

o        Some parents will ask questions like tell me about yourself”.  What response are you listening for?

o        Other parents will ask behavioral questions – Looking for examples of times when candidates have done things like they will do on the job. For example, Tell me about how you’ve coached children to become more successful.”, “Give me an example of what you have done to earn others’ trust?”

o        How do they respond? Do they give you a good example from their past jobs, experiences, and achievements. Are they direct and honest? Are they “faking-it” or exaggerating – Do they tell you:

·         What they  did

·         How they did it

·         What were there results

o        Do they make a  favorable impression

We can help by conducting screening interviews, so you can focus your interview on the Quality Candidates

n     Know what you want from a Background Check (Does your Background Check contain):

o        Social Security Number Verification

o        Up-to-date name/address information to compare to the application/resume

o        A Criminal Record search for felony convictions and misdemeanors

o        A national Sex Offender search

o        A Driving Record (MVR) search for traffic violations, DUIs, suspensions/revocations, etc.

Through American Checked, INC., we can help you with your background check
